In 1998 Kerig wrote and produced Net
Worth an independent feature film starring Daniel Baldwin, Craig, Sheffer,
Michael T. Weiss, and Todd Field.
The film was the story of four guys, all 35, who’ve been best friends
since high school. Some have done well and some haven’t; they disagree
as to why. So, they make a bet: 30 days, new city, no cash, no connections
and whomever gets the highest net worth wins.
Our four men leave Los Angeles and travel to Salt Lake City, where they’ve
never been, to perform the contest. They can’t break the law and
they can’t access anything from their past lives. Go.
In addition to writing and producing, Kerig was Second Unit Director,
shot stills, even acted a little, and did stunts. The film sold to Blockbuster
as a premier and can still be found there today. Reviews of the film were
mixed.
